Description
This 1993 report was prepared by the Sacramento Transportation Authority (STA). In 1988, the voters of Sacramento County adopted "Measure A, " a one-half cent sales tax to build and operate transportation and air quality impreovements in the county. In 1993, to maximize theimpact of measure A funds and to help bring more state and federal transportation funds tinto Sacramento, the STA commenced a new Strategic Planning process, which is discussed in this report. Some topics discussed in this report include air quality, traffic congestion management, public transit, public road construction, public road maintenance, and paratransit.
