Not long after Barry filed the first paternity suit against Chaplin, federal prosecutors brought Mann Act charges against Charlie Chaplin in relation to Barry; he was acquitted.
Photograph caption dated March 28, 1944 reads, "Court rules witness could answer 'limited number' of questions concerning past life."
