Description
This publication from The Manzanar Committee, located in Los Angeles, California, has been published since December 1969, when the first pilgrimage to Manzanar occurred. The annual pilgrimage is held on the last Saturday of April at the north-west corner of the former camp. The program for the 20th annual Manzanar Pilgrimage event is included in this publication, as well as a brief history of the Manzanar Incarceration Center, information about the Manzanar Committee and the annual pilgrimage. Item from Misao Okada’s album. Misao Okada’s scrapbook contains photographs, ephemera, notes, and correspondence documenting her time at Amache and a visit and reunion over 50 years later. The scrapbook also includes materials relating to reparations and events observing Japanese American incarceration.
