Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph article dated March 24, 1961 partially reads, "The king is dead, a new monarch has risen in West Valley League track. For three years Reseda's mighty Regents have worn the West Valley League crown, and wore it well, but yesterday the Cavaliers from Cleveland High stamped themselves as new rulers by crushing host Reseda 66-38 in the season's first dual meet... The meet was highlighted by Randall B. 'Randy' Walker's amazing leap in the high jump of 6 ft., 5 in. This Cleveland High School straight 'A' student won the city 'B' championship last year and in clearing 6-5 yesterday became the all-time great high jumper in either West or East Valley League history." Photograph shows Cleveland High School jumper, Randy Walker pole vaulting. Cleveland High School is located in Reseda, California. Photograph also used in article dated June 22, 1961. The caption reads "Randy Walker ...jumps to City Laurels." See image 00159317 for additional photo in this series.
