Description
The unedited transcript of Phalana Tiller's interview with Lynda Gratton for the December 2012 episode of Drucker on the Dial entitled "Postcards from Vienna." The interview is from the 2012 Global Peter Drucker Forum held in Vienna, Austria in November 2012. Lynda Gratton, a professor of management at The London Business School, and author of the book entitled The Shift: The Future of Work is Already Here, begins by saying that globalization and technology have completely changed the way we work, and that the future of work is already here. She explains that when companies see themselves as being separate from their world, it creates risks. Gratton says that in order to solve those risks, you have to build big collaborative alliances. However, she says, most corporations struggle because it is very difficult for us to really collaborate with people who are different from ourselves. She goes on to say that she would like to be remembered for making a difference through her capacity as a thought leader to make the world a better place.
