Bert Pucci of LA Magazine, met with leader of the WAVAW (Women Against Violence Against Women) group Jenny Yamada, who picketed the front of the magazine for its "violent ads". Pucci admitted that the ads in question were not acceptable to company policy, and had slipped through its safeguards, and the magazine would be more careful in the future. Photograph dated December 26, 1979.
