Stereograph of Maximillian's open and empty coffin in the Historical Building, Queretaro, Mexico, ca.1905-1910. Maximillian, who ruled with Carlotta at Curenavaca in the 19th century, was imprisoned and executed in Queretaro. At the center of both images, a coffin without a lid can be seen leaning near a door. To the sides of the coffin, small tables with signs are visible. Above the coffin, three portraits can be seen hanging on the wall.
