Photograph article dated November 16, 1953 partially reads, "Dead end alleys make poor escape routes, especially when they run behind the rear of burglarized jewelry stores. Take the case of two suspects captured early today as they tried to drive down a dead end alley in the rear of Naylor's Jewelry Store at 5267 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood. Police were in front taking finger prints on articles that had fallen from a show window smashed minutes earlier when they heard a crash. Officers ran to the alley where they captured Angel M. Alejandre, 27, of 7816 Troost Ave., North Hollywood, and Manuel Huerta Aguilar, 20, of Apt. 1073 Basilone Homes. Both suspects had pockets jammed with watches, watch bands, cigaret [sic] lighters and gold crosses, according to Officer R. A. Davidson, one of the captors." Pictured is Angel M. Alejandre.; See images #00138256 through #00138258 for all photos in this series.
