Description
V1p336c In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 336 bottom. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Text written to right of photo: "Refugee Shacks 1906." Photo shows a row of substantially built wooden refugee shacks, with a group of their young male occupants playing in the street. A few girls and some adults, as well as an automobile, are also visible. The French Laundry is down the street which, according to the 1905-06 and 1907 City Directories, was located at 3372 Mission Street.
