Dallas Don Burnet, guitarist for the L.A.-based punk rock band Thelonious Monster, takes a spa break. The band recorded its CD at the former home of the Los Angeles Lakers' Hall of Fame center Wilt Chamberlain, built in the hills above Encino. The all-glass structure was designed to allow water to flow in and out of the house. Thelonious Monster, a punk rock band from Los Angeles led by singersongwriter Bob Forrest, was popular in the underground rock clubs of Hollywood in the 1980's. They put out a series of critically acclaimed albums, but never achieved major commercial success. The band reunited in 2004 and released their first new album in 12 years. Photograph dated March 31, 2002.
