Description
Portrait of woman; her hair parted in the middle, tucked up behind her head with tight curls on her forehead. She is wearing a simple bodice of print silk or satin, with small buttons on front, and a lace and velvet collar secured with a lattice pin. She is also wearing small drop earrings. Written on reverse: "This is your Aunt Emily. Do you think I look like her? Everyone says I look like my mother so I ask you to confirm it." From a leather-bound album containing 23 cabinet cards and cartes-de-visite. Most of the studios were located in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, especially Lowell, although the cartes-de-visite were taken in California.
