Pedestrian and automobile traffic clog the intersection of Ninth and K streets in this 1945 photograph. The sidewalk along both sides of K Street is lined with pedestrians, some of them servicemen. Businesses include the Owl Drug Company at 900 K St., Moss Women's Clothing at 906 K St., Wilson's Candy at 908 K St., the Trianon Ballroom at 910 K St., and the Fox Senator Theatre at 912 K St. The theater’s marquee touts the 1945 movie "The Bells of St. Mary’s," starring Bing Crosby and Ingrid Bergman. Moving east, one can also see the Don Burton Shoe Salon at 914 K St., the Capital Clothing Company at 916 K St., Grayson's Women's Clothing at 918 K St., the Walgreen Drug Company at 930 K St., the Sacramento Hotel at 1107 10th St., and Heeseman's Men's Clothing at 1022 K St.
