Description
Photograph of a uniformed man "tickling" an alligator at an alligator farm (possibly the California Alligator Farm, Los Angeles), ca.1900. The man, to the left in a vest and bellhop's hat which reads "Alligator Farm", is stooping down and extending his arm to "tickle" a roughly seven-foot long alligator under the "chin". They are surrounded by a tall picket fence in the background from which sparse vines are hanging.
