Photograph caption dated July 5, 1963 reads, "Pretty Shirley Jones who has a stellar role in Rogers and Hammerstein's 'Carousel,' and Valley resident Ralph Hathaway (left), manager of Grauman's Chinese Theatre, call on Mayor Norris Poulson to invite him to next Thursday night's gala Hollywood premiere at the 20th Century-Fox film production - the first motion picture to be shot in the new CinemaScope 55 process."
