Photograph caption dated March 30, 1959 reads, "Stanley Gillespie, 6, lets loose with real salty grin as he and his sister, Freida, 4, get set to go backyard boating. Stanley wrote a letter to the Navy in Washington trying to join up. They said their quota for 6-year-olds is full, but promised him berth during week of March 9, 1970."
