Description
This 1952 photograph shows the parking lot of the Country Club Centre near a notably uncluttered intersection of El Camino and Watt avenues. Opening in late summer 1952 with more than 100,000 people living within a 5-mile radius, the destination shopping center boasted 1,500 parking spots. The development was named after the nearby Del Paso Country Club.
