Description
View in front of Sacramento City Hall during preparations for the 1950 centennial of the first City Council meeting. At the microphone is Mayor Bert Geistreiter on the left handing Judge Percy G. West a flower festooned knife to cut the City's birthday cake. Behind the mayor is an unidentified woman, Frank Christy holding the camera, historian for the Native Sons of the Golden West, and Phil Wilkins, Grand Trustee of the Native Sons of the Golden West.
