Description
Photograph of the entrance to San Pedro Harbor with Terminal Island in the distance, 1906. Railroad tracks can be seen running along a wharf from the foreground at right into the distance at left. Several tall ships are docked along the wharf at left. A section of the harbor curves around in a semicircular path in the background at left. Back of photoprint reads "San Pedro, 1906. Entrance to L.A. Harbor opposite Dead Man's Island. 'Terminal Island' in distance" as well as "April 29, 1963. I don't think this sticker is correct -- see notation in upper right corner -- W. Herbert Allen" refering to the aforementioned info. The "notation" in the upper right corner reads "Terminal Island, San Pedro, Calif". Another note identifies the date as September 1906.
