Photograph caption dated August 24, 1985 reads, "A woman died in the burning of a yellow 1984 Toyota, foreground, long before firefighters could reach the scene on the Long Beach Freeway at Florence Avenue. Police said the compact car spun out into the path of the fully loaded tractor-trailer truck after drifting across the highway and sideswiping an abandoned car on the highway shoulder. The second impact carried the smaller vehicle 400 feet before both burst into flames, ending the woman's journey and her life. The truck driver escaped unhurt."
