Title supplied by cataloger.
An explosion detonated in a truck parking lot and corrugated metal storage building at 662 S. Mateo Street. The explosion was caused by a load of corrosive chemicals in a warehouse of a trucking firm. Windows and glass shattered in dozens of buildings within several blocks radius of Star Trucking Co., site of the actual blast. Gold's Service Building warehouse across the street (pictured) was severely hit by the explosion. Photograph dated August 18, 1974.
