Description: Written on the verso is, “Paul Tate (left) Sharon’s father (Mrs. [Winifred] Chapman?) Maid that discovered bodies. Steve Garretson – houseboy at Tate estate. Mr. Parent – Steve Parent’s (one of the murdered victims) father.” Steve Garretson was the brother of William (visible in the background). William was the caretaker of the Tate estate, not William. This was the first day of opening statements. Photograph date stamped July 24, 1970.
