Album is bound in black, faux alligator skin. The number "12" is embossed in the center of the cover in gold. The number "12" is affixed to the top of spine with glue. Contains photographs taken by Jack London while on assignment to cover the Russo-Japanese War. Some wear around the edges, and the black outer material has worn away from the bottom of the spine. Photos are primarily commercial, hand-colored studio portraits.
