Description
Photograph send from Valentine Lantz to her parents. René Lantz, son of Edouard and Valentine Lantz, is buried between the roots of the tree, in the cemetery of Talagouga. The tombstone was not laid when the photograph was taken. The reverend Edouard Lantz worked for the Société des missions évangéliques de Paris (Paris evangelical missionary society) in Gabon from 1899 to 1901. He died in 1901. After the death of her husband, Valentine Lantz continued to work in Gabon where she died in 1906.
