Photograph caption dated May 24, 1956 reads "Low hurdles are no more barrier to this powerful Van Nuys athlete Jerry Mollett than opposing tacklers. Mollett, all-city scoring champion in football last fall, toyed with his field to capture 180 low hurdle race in 20s. Another fine gridder, Bob Campbell of Canoga Park is right on Mollett's heels at this point in finals held at Birmingham High. Van Nuys won the league finals." Birmingham High School is in Van Nuys.
