Description
Photograph of four young women in Spanish costumes placing candles on a 5-ft tall cake that has a model of Los Angeles City Hall on top, ca.1930. A cake with three large tiers stands in the center on trimmed grass. The cake appears to be made of inedible material and is styled in wedding form with large candlesticks places around each tier. The top of the cake is decorated with a model of a tall lightly colored building. Two women stand to the right while a third woman stands on the left and a fourth woman kneels in the center. All of the women wear costumes with elaborate headdresses that include long veils and ruffled skirts. In the background, the ground of what seems to be a public park are visible with benches, palm trees, paths, and a few people walking around.
