Description: This image depicts the Lurline as she was prior to her wartime conversion into a troopship; see priMISC/M KM0181 for an image of the postwar vessel. The Lurline operated from 1932 to 1941, and then, after World War II service as a transport, from 1948 to 1963 for the Matson Navigation Company; she was the third vessel so named. Focus of item: Lurline (1932-1963).
