This is a photograph of Frs. Ruppert and Jones meeting in Wuzhou. They are standing at the gateway to the mission. Both wear white suits and hats. Born in Iowa, Fr. Ruppert came to Maryknoll in 1920 and was ordained to the priesthood on September 23, 1923. He then was assigned to Kongmoon and Wuchow in 1926. He was the Society Superior in Wuchow in 1930. He returned to the United States in 1933 and worked on promotion for many years. He was also the Society Superior in Hawaii from 1944-1949. -- Born in Michigan, Fr. Jones came to Maryknoll in 1922 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1924. In 1927 he was assigned to Wuchow, China. He spent six years working in Watlam, China. He died in China and was buried at Tung Ling.
