Angel scout, died of a heart attack when young Shaeffer took the mound against the North Hollywood Huskies at Cleveland. The rangy 16-year-old junior allowed only four base runners as he struck out 11 men while walking four." Photograph caption reads, "Courageous Cavalier - Mark Shaeffer gets ready to fire one at North Hollywood High hitters on way to the no-hitter he pitched Thursday. The 11th grade Cleveland High Cavalier hurler pitched the game although his father passed away on Monday."
