Catchwords placed between the double rule in the lower margin; none on quires 1, 11, 16, 24. 22-28 long lines; 23 long lines in art. 33. Ruled in lead with double rule across top and along the outer edge of the written space; additional double rules in the upper margin for running headlines (mostly cropped), along the outer margin (mostly cropped) and in the lower margin; slash prick marks at the 4 corners of the written space and in upper and lower margins for additional double rules. Span folios: ff. 1-195v. Other Decoration: : 8- to 5-line spaces reserved for initials; opening initial on f. 128, 8-line, in blue with red flourishing; paragraph marks in red throughout. Running headlines in the hand of the scribe, mostly cropped. On some leaves where original headline has been cropped, a fifteenth century hand has supplied the title. Finding notes in the register of writs in the hand of the scribe. Erased note in lower margin of f. 5. Assigned Date: s. XIVin. Former pressmark, EL 1122. Input into Digital Scriptorium by: C. W. Note on f. 195v, s. XV/ XVI, "liber iste Restat Ricardo Bunney" with what appears to be a monogram of initials "M" (or "W"?) and "L"(?). On f. iii: "Liber Tho. Egerton ex dono Thomae hyggons" inscribed by Sir Thomas Egerton (1540-1617); the two signatures "J Bridgewater" by the first and second Earls (1579-1649 and 1622-86, respectively); "E:2." by the first Earl, corrected to "E:2./10." by the second Earl. On f. 1, in modern pencil, "513" corrected to "1122."
