Presidential candidate Ángel Aníbal Guevara of the National Unity Front (FUN), speaks to a crowd of people at a campaign rally in March, 1982. Standing behind and beside him are a group of men and women. Many in the crowd are holding up banners and posters that support the candidates. Seated beside Guevara is his vice president and running mate Ramiro Ponce Monroy. On March 8, 1982 he won the presidential election although electoral fraud was claimed by other parties. Detrás y al lado de él yace un grupo de hombres y mujeres. Muchos en la multitud sostienen banderas y pósters apoyando a los candidatos. Sentado junto a Guevara está su vicepresidente y compañero de fórmula, Ramiro Ponce Monroy. El 8 de marzo de 1982, Guevara ganó las elecciones presidenciales aunque otros partidos reclamaron fraude electoral.
