Description
Figure carved out of the living granite rock. It is 3.51 meters in height and holds what appears to be a palm leaf manuscript, used in historical times. The figure has a serene facial expression, an elaborate headdress, and is clad in a dhoti, leaving the upper torso and feet bare. The figure also has matted hair, drooping earlobes, a long moustache and a beard. The statue is considered a superb example of Asian art.
