Handwriting on the back reading: "Die ersten 1865 von Miss W. Behrens sen.[/noch lebenden] getauften Betschuanachristen in Bethanie Transvaal." ("The first Bechuana Christians baptized in 1865 by missionary W. Behrens [/ who are still alive] in Bethanie Transvaal").
