Mary Pickford was a Canadian-born silent film actress, famously known as "America's sweetheart," co-founder of American Artists film studio, and one of the original founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.; The Cave Des Roys was a private club located on La Cienega Boulevard that opened in 1959. Among the founders were Conrad Hilton, Paul Newman, Desi Arnaz, Danny Thomas, Anthony Quinn and Tony Curtis.
Photograph caption dated March 4, 1963 reads "Trio attending the black-tie dinner honoring the F. Ronald Grahams includes (from left) Mrs. Charles B. Rogers (Mary Pickford), Queen Nazli and Mrs. Ronald Graham. The party was given by Mrs. Anthony Gaspar at the Cave Des Roys club."
