Fire Station No. 89 located at 7063 Laurel Canyon Blvd. was also the site of the Los Angeles Fire Department Training Academy.
Photograph caption dated April 18, 1960 reads, "Graduating fireman from Los Angeles Fire Department shows 'life line' method of escaping building engulfed by dangerous flames. Fireman is Tyre N.
