Description
This 1968 postcard provides an artist's illustration of the proposed California Exposition's amusement park. The park was set to open two years later in 1970 and would mimic a sports car road trip through the topography of California, from deserts to redwoods. The proposed amusement park would also have a functioning monorail that would make its way through every major attraction of the Exposition. While the road trip amusement park was canceled, a monorail was built for the California Expo, although not in the same design as portrayed in this postcard.
