Description
Contains moving images of two separate railroad excursions. The first portion is a fan-trip on the Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge, dated February 22, 1952 pulled by Locomotive No. 18. The consist is 3 box cars, combine No. 401, and baggage car No. 22 on the rear. Shots include the passenger station and yard in Owenyo, numerous photo run-bys, and the locomotive taking on water, as well as a “group photo” at the end. The second portion is a fan trip on the Western Pacific, dated October 31, 1953, from Oakland to Colusa, California using one of the Zephyrette Budd RDCs. It includes shots of the Eastbound California Zephyr traveling on 3rd Street in Oakland, the Western Pacific Oakland Depot on 3rd and Washington Streets, the interior of the RDC, and numerous photo run-bys including one by the Meridian Bridge in Sutter County.
