Description
Photograph of several men in suits at the groundbreaking for the construction of the new State Building, at First Street "& Broadway, on November 12, 1930. A group of men, and a few women and children stand around a plot of land, as some of the men dig their shovels into the dirt at center. Most men wear hats, others go bare headed, while a sign that reads "...to cost $1,250,000.00...construction..." sits in the background.
