Photograph of workers from the Department of Public Works cleaning a sewer using a portable Barnes pump over a manhole, [s.d.]. A machine can be seen at center with various hoses attached to it. Four workers can be seen standing on the road amidst the hoses. The road is blocked off from either side of the machine with signs reading, "Street Closed. Dept. of Public Works. Bureau of Ch[...]". A chain-link fence and trees can be seen on the side of the road at right, while cars can be seen on the left side of the road towards the background.
