"In one of these Vaqueria dances the man acts as the bull fighter and his partner as the bull. He wears his hat and uses a handkerchief as a cape to pass the bull. The purpose is to dance rhythmically while the man tries to prevent the woman from touching him. Should she touch, he forfeits his hat and she dances with that on her head." In the center of this photograph men and women dance. Spectators sit along the walls watching the festivities.
