V2p4a In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. II, page 4 top left. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Portrait of Judge Lawlor seated at a desk. Text written under photo: "Judge Supreme Court Wm. P. Lawler [sic]." Lawlor was appointed Superior Court Judge in 1898 and Supreme Court Judge in 1914, three years after this photo was supposedly taken. As Superior Court Judge he presided over the bribery trials of Abe Ruef and Patrick Calhoun. Negative, no. 5,392.
