Norman McLeod was born on September 20, 1898. He was an American film director, cartoonist and writer. His directing credits include "The Paleface," "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" and "The Road to Rio." He died on January 27, 1964. Photograph caption dated January 10, 1962 partially reads "Next time you visit Santa Anita (we're hoping you'll be there Saturday at the 11th annual running of the San Fernando Stakes) notice the running bunnies on the silks worn by some of the jockeys. The bunnies honor Bunny (Mrs. Norman Z.) McLeod, and the horses owned by the McLeods."
