Photograph caption dated January 7, 1958 reads, "Officer Ted Lane, 32, of Burbank Police Department explains his model street scene to Sgt. Don Martin. Lane, who teaches traffic to recruits, will use this scaled model to teach traffic situations. Lane has two children and has been on force four years. His hobby is leathercraft. This is his first model."
