This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written on photo: "Steiner St., Sutter St. [in respective locations]" Text written under photo: "Alcazar Theatre Sutter & Steiner Streets 1908 on a damp morning." Photo shows the twin-towered, vaguely Mission-style Alcazar Theatre at the southwest corner of Sutter and Steiner. The side of Dreamland Auditorium can be seen to the left; Commandry Hall is visible at the right. A man holding an umbrella is standing in the middle of the intersection looking at the camera.
