The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on December 28, 1967: "Wells Fargo Bank has scheduled opening of a new Tahoe City facility Jan. 6. A ceremony is planned at 1 p.m. and open house until 3:30 p.m. Banking service will begin there Jan. 8. The one and one half story rustic redwood and shingle A-frame building is located at 150 West Lake Blvd. and Calif. 89, about a quarter mile south of the junction with Calif. 28 and 89."
