2018-2008., Waist-length portrait. Born in Middleboro, Mass., 1836. Worked as pattern-maker. Enlisted in 4th Massachusetts Volunteers. Worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad Company from 1865 to 1906, when retired; lived in Sacramento. Member of the Grand Army of the Republic, Warren Post No. 54.
