Description
Almanac in German with astrological notes and illustrations. Chancery quarto, with paper measuring 20.2 x 15.5 cm. Signatures: [a-h⁸ i⁶ (a1, i6 blank)]. Illustrations hand colored. Running titles, rubrication and numbering of the days of the month in red. Leaf a1 damaged and mounted on free endpaper at beginning. Binding: contemporary German blindstamped calfskin over boards; remnants of metal clasp. Rebacked.

Autograph on free endpaper at beginning: Iacob[?] Heller[?]. Extensive contemporary ms. annotations on leaf pasted onto free endpaper at beginning, in the margins, at the end of each month in the calendar, on leaf i6 and on rear flyleaves. Ms. calculations in red drawn in circles and tables on final pages and on rear flyleaves. Duplicate stamp on leaf [a]2r with institution name blacked out. Purchased from Vollbehr, March 23, 1925.
