Description
Taken in 1940, this photograph shows the front entrance to North Sacramento's Grant Union High School. Although the school had existed since 1931, its physical location didn't open until the spring of 1935, with an average faculty age of 25. Grant's construction -- costing some $300,000 -- was financed by the Works Progress Administration.
