Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph article dated March 25, 1963 partially reads, "Instrumental in the breaching of what has been a male preserve in the Valley until now is Shirley Lowery, a petite brunette who heads the newly formed Women's Division of the Canoga Park Chamber of Commerce....'Because of the rapid growth of the regular chamber we felt the time was ripe for a women's division...' Among current activities and projects of the auxiliary are a fashion show, set for March 29; a Canoga Beauty Pageant, to be held next fall; and a Fiesta Dinner, set for the end of April prior to a planned junket to Taxco, Mex." Shirley Lowery places jewelry on Robin Brickett for auxiliary show.
