Photograph of Mission San Gabriel Arcangel from south end, ca.1890. In the background at center, a long wall decorated with rectangular columns can be seen. At left, a section can be seen where six bells can be supported, but only one bell is clearly visible. At the apex of this section, a small cross can be seen, and another cross if visible far to the right. A few short palms are present along the line of the building face.
