Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated November 21, 1950 partially reads, "An air of suspended animation hung today over the home of Lewis E. Jones, 52, at 7326 Variel Ave., Canoga Park. Jones has found what he believes to be pure flake gold in the driveway of his home. He panned some of it with a kitchen pot - which Mrs. Jones made him promise to scrub out afterwards. Now he's just waiting for word from an assayer's office."
